The Physics of Mammography
ISS Solutions clinical engineering team members Vincent Maier, Joseph Kaminski, and George Williams were selected as presenters at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) 2012 Conference and Expo in Charlotte, N.C. AAMI’s Annual Conference and Expo is a preeminent education event where all segments of healthcare technology management convene to shape perspectives on the most recent developments in the profession and in the medical device industry.
“We were proud to be active participants at the AAMI Conference and Expo, educating our peers on new developments in the healthcare industry,” said Vincent Maier, Clinical Engineering Specialist at ISS Solutions.
On Sunday, June 3, 2012, the ISS Solutions team held an educational session on The Physics of Mammography. Vincent Maier and Joseph Kaminski discussed how anatomy and physics dictate the way mammography is done and unveiled the physical reasons for the design of some mammography equipment components.
