ISS Solutions Expands Clinical Engineering Footprint in West Virginia through the Acquisition of Biomedical Technology, Inc.

Langhorne, PA, May 19, 2014 – ISS Solutions, a Geisinger Health System business and leading provider of customized technology lifecycle management solutions to healthcare, government, education, and commercial clients throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia, announced today the acquisition of Biomedical Technology, Inc. (BTI) of Morgantown, West Virginia. Since 1989, BTI has been delivering delivering clinical engineering services to acute care hospitals, surgery centers, clinics and other healthcare organizations in West Virginia and surrounding states.

The company, headquartered in Pennsylvania, currently delivers clinical engineering services to clients in over 22 states from Minnesota to Maine to South Carolina.

As consolidations and changes take place in the United States healthcare market, Bruce Andrews, President of BTI, decided that his employees and clients would be better served by joining a larger, independent service organization. After finding ISS Solutions, a Geisinger Health System business, Bruce knew that he had found the right match. Mr. Andrews stated, “I was impressed that a leading healthcare organization like Geisinger Health System owned and operated a clinical engineering services business that served over 200 clients in overlapping territories with BTI. ISS Solutions already had clients in West Virginia.
