Employee Spotlight: Tim Langan

As the Director of Business Development for Clinical Engineering at ISS Solutions, Tim Langan collaborates with new and current clients, facilitates sales, and researches potential business and product opportunities. When healthcare providers contact ISS Solutions in search of ways to manage the maintenance of their equipment, Tim offers options, so the providers can continue to deliver exceptional care to their patients without interruptions. “If I were to describe Tim in one word, it would be valuable,” said Frank Rubino, Vice President of Clinical Engineering of Non-Geisinger clients. “He plays an important role in the company’s growth and business continuity with its clients.” After a client recently contacted ISS Solutions about building a custom healthcare technology management solution at an affordable cost, Tim and his team got to work. They evaluated the provider’s existing operations and identified areas for improvement. Then they designed a new program that would efficiently lower the client’s costs without sacrificing the quality of their patient care. “The most satisfying part of the job for me, by far, occurs after a new sale has closed, once the program implementation has begun,” explained Tim. “I never get tired of hearing feedback from a new client on how pleased they are with their new support program. The realization that the promises made are promises kept and that the trust they have placed in me and in ISS Solutions was justified makes all the hard work worth it.” Tim joined ISS Solutions in 2003 as a Manager of Business Development for the Information Technology division and moved to Clinical Engineering in 2005. He has a Bachelor of Science in computer science from King’s College. He is also a member of several organizations such as the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and playing golf, tennis, and racquetball.
